Draft · Finalize before publication
Privacy policy
How Callsign North plans to handle information submitted through its website and by email. A preparatory version to finalize before publication.
Who is responsible for your information?
Callsign North is a web and mobile development studio based in Québec. This policy covers information received when you browse our website and first discuss a project with us. Processing carried out on behalf of a client during an engagement is addressed separately in the contract.
The website lists contact@callsignnorth.ca as its contact address. The final version will provide the contact details of the person responsible for the protection of personal information.
- To confirm: the operator’s legal name, legal form and business contact address.
- To confirm: the responsible person, title and contact details for privacy requests; operation of the email inbox.
What you send us and why
When you write to us, your message may include your name, email address, company and the project information you choose to share. When enabled, the form also includes a description, intended platforms, features, timeline, budget and questions.
This information is used to understand your needs, respond to your request and prepare next steps or a proposal. Sending a request does not automatically subscribe you to a newsletter.
Keep your message limited to what is needed for an initial discussion. Do not include passwords, access keys, medical records, customer data or other sensitive or confidential information. We can agree on an appropriate method if the project later requires sharing it.
You can email us directly instead of using the form. Without a way to reach you or enough information about your needs, we may be unable to follow up.
- To confirm: technical information actually collected by hosting services and logs, including IP addresses, connection times and diagnostic data, and the purposes of that collection.
AI assistance to draft your request
When the drafting service is enabled, the “Write my request” button sends your description and project choices to a service that prepares suggested text with AI assistance. This happens before you add your contact details and before the final request is sent to our team. Your description may itself contain personal information: avoid including unnecessary details.
You can review and edit the suggested text before sending the final request. This writing assistance is not a quote, an acceptance of an engagement or an automated decision about your eligibility for our services.
The development version without a connected service simulates drafting locally. The operation and providers of the public version must be confirmed before activation.
- To confirm before activation: AI provider and model, information transmitted, processing locations, retention, provider access and terms governing model training.
Who may receive the information?
The planned workflow gives the partners handling your request access to the information needed for that discussion. Technical providers may also be involved in hosting, email, assisted drafting and protection against abuse.
When configured, the form uses Cloudflare Turnstile at the contact-details step to check that a request is not coming from a bot. The technical data processed for this purpose and the service terms must be specified in the final version.
Some providers may process information outside Québec. Hosting in Canada does not by itself guarantee that all processing and access remain within Québec or Canada.
- To confirm: the providers actually selected, categories of information received, purposes and people authorized to access it.
- To confirm: processing and access locations, applicable agreements and privacy impact assessment for transfers outside Québec.
Cookies and browsing
No advertising or audience analytics tool was identified in the website code reviewed for this draft. Fonts are configured to be served by the website, without a browser request to Google Fonts.
This observation does not cover services that may be added through production settings. Hosting and abuse-prevention services may process technical data independently of advertising tools.
- To confirm before publication: an inventory of cookies and other trackers actually used, their purposes, duration and the choices offered to visitors.
Retention and protection
The final version will specify how long unanswered or closed inquiries, business correspondence, AI-processed text and technical logs are retained, including rules for backups. If an engagement is agreed, some information will become part of the contractual record and may follow different retention periods.
Protection measures must be appropriate for the information processed and the tools used. No method can guarantee absolute security.
- To confirm: retention periods or criteria for each category, applicable legal obligations and methods of deletion or anonymization.
- To confirm: access controls, account protection, provider security measures and the incident-response procedure actually in place.
Your rights and requests
Subject to the conditions provided by law, you may request access to your personal information, correction of that information and, where the right applies, its communication in a structured, commonly used technological format. You may also withdraw your consent to a use or disclosure that relies on it.
Withdrawal may limit our ability to continue the discussion or service concerned. It does not necessarily require deletion of information we must retain to meet a legal obligation.
For a privacy question, request or complaint, contact the responsible person whose details will be published above. Proportionate identity verification may be required. You can also contact Québec’s Commission d’accès à l’information.
- To confirm: an operational contact channel, the person handling requests and the procedure for responding to requests and complaints.
Updates to this policy
The final policy will state its effective date and last update date. People concerned will be informed of changes through a method appropriate to their significance.
- To confirm: the effective date after practices are validated and the method used to notify people of changes.
